Hubbard To Add AP Capstone Next School Year

Mayor Emanuel and Chicago Public Schools announced an expansion of the Advanced Placement (AP) Capstone program — an intensive diploma program that challenges students to excel in a variety of college-level courses — to six additional high schools throughout the city. Tuesday, April 9th is a MANDATORY attendance day for all juniors (11th graders). 11th graders will be taking the SAT. THE SAT IS A GRADUATION REQUIREMENT. 9th, 10th, and 12th graders DO NOT HAVE TO COME TO SCHOOL.

Wednesday, April 10th is a MANDATORY attendance day for all freshmen (9th graders) and sophomores (10th graders). 9th and 10th graders will be taking the PSAT. THE PSAT IS A GRADUATION REQUIREMENT. 11th and 12th graders DO NOT HAVE TO COME TO SCHOOL*.

* 11th graders who are testing for a second day MUST report to school on April 10th.
