Based on the National Weather Service warning that wind chills could reach -35 degrees, Chicago Public Schools has determined that it is unsafe for students and staff to travel to school tomorrow.
Please take note of the following details regarding our schedule:
-
No Remote Learning: There will be no remote or virtual instruction tomorrow. Students should use this time to stay safe and warm.
-
Friday Activities Canceled: All after-school programming, including athletic practices and games scheduled for Friday, are canceled.
-
Return to Campus: We expect classes to resume their normal schedule on Monday, January 26.
Building Access The Hubbard High School building will be closed tomorrow to all students and visitors. Our main office and counseling offices will also be closed.
Staying Safe With temperatures reaching dangerous levels, we urge our Greyhounds to stay indoors. If you must go outside, please wear several layers of warm clothing and keep your hands and head covered. If your family needs a warm place to stay, Chicago warming centers can be located by calling 3-1-1 or visiting cps.edu.
The safety of our students is our top priority. We look forward to seeing everyone back at Hubbard on Monday morning.
