1st Period Women's Chorus-01

Course Description

The study of choral music improves the social, emotional, intellectual and creative musical development of students. Participation in a choral ensemble promotes good study habits, teamwork, responsibility, self-esteem and contributes to the school and greater community culture in a positive way.

The complete choral program provides an understanding of basic musical skills such as melody, rhythm, harmony and form that is presented in a sequential course of study. Students will be exposed to a variety of experiences in performing, creating and responding to all styles of music.

Chorus is interactive. You will learn to listen to sing, read and ultimately perform quality music from a wide variety of styles and historical periods.  Beginning Women's Chorus meets daily and is offered to grades 9 -12.  

ALL CHORUS MEMBERS MUST PERFORM IN 2 PUBLIC CONCERTS PER SCHOOL YEAR.
