ECS Post-Assessment in Google Classroom

ECS Post-Assessment

Please follow this link and complete the "post assessment"

The questions should look familiar as they also appeared on the Pre-Assessment that you completed in September. Please remember that your yes/no answer is not what determines correct/incorrect -- the explanation of why you answered yes/no is more important.

When you are finished, take a screen shot of the "THANK YOU FOR COMPLETING" screen and submit the screen shot as evidence of completion for this assignment.

YOU WILL RECEIVE CREDIT. IT IS WORTH YOUR WHILE TO TAKE THIS TEST.

TRUST ME ..... YOU REALLY WANT TO TAKE THIS TEST AND TURN IN THE SCREEN SHOT.

[1] - Teacher Appreciation Card in Google Classroom

[1] - Teacher Appreciation Card

This project, your only NEW assignment for this week, has 5 steps

Step 1 - Download the attached .sb3 file to your computer (it will probably go to your downloads folder by default)

Step 2 - Visit the Scratch website (scratch.mit.edu) -- it is linked below. YOU HAVE TO SIGN IN OR CREATE AN ACCOUNT!!

Step 3 - Click: Create > File > Load From Your Computer ... choose the file you downloaded in Step 1

Step 4 - Here are the instructions for what you need to do
Create a teacher appreciation card for 1 (or more) of your teachers. The file that you downloaded is a 'template' that you can modify but PLEASE don't submit this file back to me (it's lazy and also makes you a bum). Make changes! I am adding some notes/tips below.

The card is for teacher appreciation week. Personalize it. Add your name and a message. Change the sprites. Change the effects.

Step 4b - These are the tips
* Your card is 3 background images (closed, opening, open). If you click on stage (it's all of the way to the right) and look at the backdrops tab, you can change the colors. Use the [arrow tool] to select the box, then you can change the fill and outline colors in the boxes above the canvas.

* I have added code to the sprite on the front. If you want to try to change the sprite and keep the code, you can - the code in this case only changes the outfit.

* The words and sprite on the inside of the card are animated individually. You can delete the images that you don't need and/or modify to fit your needs.

Step 5 - Email the card to me AND WAIT FOR MY REPLY that it is OK to send to the teacher for whom you are making the card. I am assuming that you would all choose me so I will pretend that I was the original recipient, you are waiting for my reply so that I can confirm your link is working.

> TO: [email protected]
> SUBJECT: Teacher Appreciation Card
> BODY OF MESSAGE: The name of the teacher to whom you will be sending and a LINK to the card (the CodeHS URL) ... instructions are given in the other post.

* and paste the code into your Sandbox homepage.
*----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------*

The instructions that are given in CodeHS:

In this project, you’ll make your own homepage, hosted at your own custom URL!

This page, hosted at .codehs.me, will be your personal profile, created by you, and will serve as a portfolio of all the future projects you’ll do in this course.

You’ll be continually improving this website as the course goes on. For now, make sure your home page has the following:
* A profile image
* Your name
* A short bio about yourself. Who are you? What do you like to do?
* What you would like to learn in Computing Ideas?
* Embed one of your previous exercises on this homepage by copying and pasting the proper HTML/CSS code into this page. Add more than one if you like!
* Anything else you want to add! This is your site, make it yours!

Once you have written your homepage here in this challenge, copy it over into your Home HTML document in your sandbox.
Then navigate to .codehs.me in your browser to see your website!
This is a public URL, so you can share this website with the world.

You have access to a lever that could switch the trolley to a different track, where a different person would meet an untimely demise. Should you pull the lever and end one life to spare five?

NOTE:
The lives/people in these scenarios are strangers.

When making your decisions, remember - You are NOT among the people in this scenario. The people you know personally are NOT among the people in this scenario.

Follow the link to the Moral Machine and respond to the scenarios presented.
