Find a video about science. Anything about science that you want- animals, health, atoms, space, etc. Watch it and and complete the worksheet.

This is an article that might help you understand the essential question, but also use your binder.

You may work in PAIRS, or alone. Choose your partner wisely, you will be getting the same grade! Choose a type of cancer for the end of the unit project. Begin to make a brochure to inform others of your research. I will give you the rubric tomorrow. But it will include how a person can get the cancer, if a particular gene mutation has been linked to it, who is most at risk, what the treatment is.

I had a fever last night, but I will be back tomorrow. Use your time wisely and do not use the ENTIRE period as a free period.

5 paragraphs:
1- background and last sentence: claim (for or against stem cell treatment)
2- evidence and reasoning supporting your claim
3- evidence and reasoning supporting your claim
4- refutation: acknowledge opposing claim, state evidence for it, then give me a reason why it's wrong (attack it!)
5- conclusion: summarize and restate claim
