ToK Presentation and PPD Form

Please upload your ToK Presentations to this Assignment. Remember your Presentation should include your Google Slides and an actual Presentation. You may record audio within your slides or get in contact with me if you have another way you want to deliver your presentation. Your presentation should not just be you reading your slides to me (I can do that on my own). Rather, you should be offering new information or expanding upon the information that is on your slides.

- Slide Length - 10 - 20
- Visual Creativity
- Avoid Excessive words on slides
- Presentation Length - 10 - 15 minutes
- Make RLS and Knowledge Questions evident

Finally, you should also submit the completed PPD form (this is important because this is the document that I have to upload to IB with your grade). This document can be found on ManageBac (just like we did with the Extended Essay and ToK Essay).

Good Luck everyone! You guys can do this!!!

5 Essentials Survey in Google Classroom

5 Essentials Survey

2020 CPS 5Essentials Student Survey
Link to survey: http://survey.5-essentials.org/cps/survey/student/

Students will need to enter their student ID and birth date to take the survey.

Opens Feb. 25, 2020 and closes April 3, 2020.

READ THIS BEFORE YOU BEGIN!

Students,

Click on the link below to take the 5Essentials survey. Please take this seriously as it is your chance to voice what you think are Hubbard High School's strengths and weaknesses. The results of this survey are used by the University of Chicago and CPS to grade Hubbard in 5 areas: effective leaders, collaborative teachers, involved families, supportive environment, and ambitious instruction. Think carefully about your experience at Hubbard. Are your classes challenging? Do you feel safe? Do teachers have high expectations for you? Are you supported by your teachers and classmates?

NOTE: Regarding the tricky questions that ask about how safe you feel outside of the school and walking to school. These questions are unfair and as a school, we cannot control what happens once you leave school grounds. Let's keep it positive, and show CPS how great our school is!

Why is this important? According to the 5Essentials website, "[p]ast research has shown that schools strong on three or more of the five essentials were 10 times more likely to improve student learning than schools that were weak."

YOU GET A VOICE IN GRADING OUR SCHOOL!

Please read each of the questions carefully and answer them thoughtfully. Your answers will be anonymous. This means no one can link these answers back to you. We just know if you took it.

If you're confused about any of the questions in the survey, feel free to ask. If you don't feel comfortable answering specific questions, that's ok. Just answer honestly so that as a school, WE (including you) know what we're getting right and what we need to fix.

*Submit a screenshot of the completion page when you are done. Make sure you answer all questions and submit when you are finished! I just need to check that you have completed the survey so everyone has a chance to voice their opinion about Hubbard.

Thanks for taking the time to read this!
