My name is Señor Trejo and I am one of the Spanish teachers here at Hubbard H.S. This will be my 8th year at Hubbard, but I have over 13 years of teaching experience with CPS. l was born and raised on the north side neighborhood of Rogers Park (Go Cubs!). I have a bachelor's degree in Secondary Education & Spanish from Northeastern Illinois University (NEIU). I also have a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a minor in ESL/Bilingual Education from Concordia University at Chicago (CUC).
I am passionate about teaching my first language to those who are new to it and I also enjoy teaching native speakers the proper use of the Spanish language. This will be my 6th year teaching in the International Baccalaureate program, simply known as IB. This school year, I have the honor to be working with all freshmen and I will stay with them until the end of their sophomore year. One of our goals here at Hubbard is we strive for every student to get the IB Diploma and obtain college credit.
